Qualitative Researcher

I am a qualitative researcher currently pursuing a Masters of Information Management Systems from UC Berkeley to transform my skills into a UX Research field. In May 2021, I graduated from the University of Pittsburghs with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.

I have published research on How Queer People of Color use Technology to Cope with Stigma, and my research interests lie broadly across the Human Computer Interaction field, with a focus on marginalized communities. I coordinate across time zones remotely to meet & lead my research team, using skills in communication, project management, qualitative coding, thematic analysis, and software proficiency of MAXQDA and Dedoose.

DEI Leader

I am an experienced leader and advocate for underrepresented groups. In 2019, I co-founded a student organization, AQUARIUS, at the University of Pittsburgh that recognized the intersection of race and gender/sexuality. Leading the organization from 2019-2021, I led this organization to be highlighted in several newspapers and conferences through speaking engagements and hosting workshops.

Serving as the Diversity & Inclusion Committee Chair for my undergradaute institution's student government, I led a team of twelve students to critically analyze & change the ways our student body thought about diversity & inclusion. By the end of my term, I successfully worked with faculty, staff, student peers, and administration to strive towards a more inclusive university environment.
